Bang

Shooting crows and other birds, we
spread ourselves wide and thin under
them. Holding buckets, tarpaulin,
nets made for fish not bloody birds
or falling stars. You turn yourself
in; folding piece by piece each unsteady
limb into your canon, firing
yourself uninvited into the coming dusk.
